A lover of sweet romantic comedy books and fairytales, JacQueline enjoys telling stories, asking God hard questions, and laughing with her family and friends. She lives in North Alabama with her amazing karate husband and three book-crazy children. She takes every opportunity to drink coffee while wearing dangly earrings and the color purple.
A Little Bit More Detail
JacQueline loved storytelling since she was young. She remembers telling her second grade teacher she would one day grow up to be an author. Her teacher nodded and said she had suspected it all along. The third daughter of four, she grew up in a loving and wacky family of believers in Jesus Christ. Such an upbringing leaves its mark. In every story JacQueline now writes, she endeavors to tell the story of redemption in new ways.
From Stage to Page
While trained specifically at college for the stage, JacQueline took her degree and transitioned. She not only learned to write scripts, but applied her love of character development into short stories and finally novels. Now the mother of three rambunctious bibliophiles, she spends her days hushing her children from giving her spoilers while she busily brainstorms the next story and acts out the comedic timing (for the sweet romcoms), fight scenes (for the fairytale retellings), and interesting applications for the Christian life with said book nerds.
She has taken what she has learned about the challenges of the author life and also offers her services as an author coach. You know, because she just can’t dial it back to one thing.
